Keeping Yourself Safe
The well-being and safety of every member of Brandon Primary Academy is of paramount importance to us. Within our formal and informal curriculum our pupils are taught:
- How to use the internet in a safe and responsible way;
- How to behave appropriately online;
- What to do if they are worried about something they see online or that is sent to them electronically;
- Healthy relationships.
Monitoring and Filtering
Brandon Primary Academy and the ALP Trust use a robust filtering and monitoring process to ensure a safe environment to learn and work, including when online. Filtering and monitoring are both important parts of safeguarding pupils and staff from potentially harmful and inappropriate online material.

NSPCC
The NSPCC is the leading children’s charity in the UK, specialising in child protection and dedicated to protecting children. They are the only UK children’s charity with statutory powers, meaning they can take action to safeguard children at risk of abuse. CEOP
CEOP helps keep children and young people safe from sexual abuse and grooming online. While CEOP are unable to respond to individual reports about bullying, fake accounts or account hacking. You can report to CEOP if you are concerned that a child is being sexually abused or groomed online.

Cyber Street
Cyber Street is a website that was launched by HM Government. Be Cyber Streetwise is a cross-government campaign, funded by the National Cyber Security Programme, and delivered in partnership with the private and voluntary sectors. The campaign is led by the Home Office, working closely with the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills and the Cabinet Office.
Their aim is to improve the online safety behaviour and confidence of consumers and small businesses.
